We offer a selection of age and school appropriate films in French for classes from grades 2 to 12 at the Roxy Theatre in Saskatoon to discover French-language films with unique visions, from diverse cultures, with different topics than what is found in the regular programming of commercial cinemas.

APRIL 14th, GRADES 2-4
Elli et l'équipe des monstres
When Elli, a homeless little ghost, knocks on the door of the eccentric residents of a haunted carousel in search of shelter, she accidentally attracts the attention of the “outside world” and must team up with a motley crew of monsters on a wild quest to save not only all monsters and humans, but also her one chance to finally have a family of her own. Even a ghost needs someone to love! No matter who we are or where we come from, the family we build with friends or relatives is often the one that shapes our lives and our hearts

Mlle Bottine
Philippe, an opera composer suffering from writer's block, is forced to take in his niece Simone, a rebellious and eccentric orphan whose best friend is a skunk. Despite their diametrically opposed personalities, Philippe and Simone quickly discover that they may need each other more than they initially thought.

Was the treasure of Pharaoh Cheops discovered during Napoleon's Egyptian campaign, brought back to France, and then hidden in Paris? Christian Robinson, a flamboyant archaeologist with unorthodox methods, is convinced of this, ever since the discovery of a mysterious inscription during new excavations in Cairo. Determined to decipher the clues left by Dominique Vivant Denon, the first director of the Louvre, Christian Robinson embarks on an extraordinary treasure hunt across Paris, from the dusty archives of the Louvre to the secret chambers of the Malmaison. He takes his daughter and grandson along on his adventure, in the crazy hope of making the greatest archaeological discovery of the 21st century in Paris...

FOOD & DRINKS ORDERS
Food and beverages must be purchased using the Roxy Theatre pre-order form per class/school. Teachers who want to purchase snacks should also include their orders on the form. Please send a copy of the form to roxy@magiclanterntheatres.ca attn: JORDAN at least 5 business days before the screening date. Late order forms will be subject to product availability.
All orders are payable upon arrival at the cinema. Debit/Interac, VISA, Mastercard, American Express accepted. Cheques may also be accepted, and must be made out to Magic Lantern Theatres Ltd. For quicker and more efficient service, please refrain from paying for concession orders with cash.
The Roxy Theatre will be open 45 minutes prior to the start time of the movie. If you have pre-ordered snacks, please be prepared to be at the theatre no less than 20 minutes prior to the movie time, as there will be multiple schools and numerous children in attendance.

SCHOOL BUS REIMBURSEMENT
