Synopsis:

Actors Antoine and Roxanne are to star in a film devoted to Brother Marie-Victorin's legacy, and to the relationship and correspondence he maintained with his student, and later esteemed colleague Marcelle Gauvreau. Through the work and research carried out by their characters on the Laurentian flora, and then on human desire and the many taboos surrounding sexuality in Quebec in the first half of the twentieth century, Antoine and Roxanne question their own relationship, and their vision of the world. Another time, other customs, another impossible love?
