Festival CINERGIE's reach spans the traditional homelands of the Nêhiyawak (Cree), Anishinaabeg, Oceti Sakowin Soyate (Dakota, Lakota, and Nakoda), Dënesųłiné, and the homeland of the Métis/Michifs, encompassed by the Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10. Predominantly founded and directed by Francophone settlers and immigrants, CINERGIE works with indigenous partners and features indigenous films annually to uplift and amplify the voices of their artists and filmmakers.
