JULIEN CADIEUX - Director-Screenwriter-Editor

Julien Cadieux is a director, screenwriter and editor in Acadia, New Brunswick. A graduate in film production from Concordia University in Montreal, Julien has been working in the film industry for over ten years, directing documentary series and films, and fictional short films. Their work is distinguished by a strong interest in the arts, queer identities, Acadia and human stories. Among his notable works are Y'a une étoile (2023), and Daniel le Tisserand (2023). Their commitment to inclusion and the representation of marginalized identities in Acadia is at the heart of his artistic approach.

Synopsis:

The Michif Édouard Beaupré, nicknamed the "The Willow Bunch Giant", marked his era with his 8'3". He died too young and far from home in 1904, but his journey as a fairground phenomenon had only just begun. In an astonishing series of twists and turns, it would take his mummified body more than 84 years to find his way back to his home village of Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan.
